Hi Folks, the next e-sig meeting is scheduled for November 11th in the evening (USA time), and November 12th in the morning in Asia. Dominik, Stephen, myself and Dan will be together in person for WasmCon. The agenda is open for suggestions - please see https://github.com/bytecodealliance/meetings/blob/main/SIG-Embedded/2024/11-12-Meeting-notes.md to add your suggestions / comments / etc.
There was a lively discussion last time on how to provide component support with different binding mechanisms last time. Please check out the meeting notes here: https://github.com/bytecodealliance/meetings/blob/main/SIG-Embedded/2024/10-29-Meeting-notes.md
Also you can view last e-sig meeting on youtube here: YouTube - - YouTube
The conversation in the last esig broke down on mentioning the issues concerning Core-WASM; threading, stack switching, memory sharing, and a second discussion on how the component model will map to embedded systems.
I will also be in Salt Lake City tomorrow, do you already have plans where to meet for the meeting?
Also I will present the symmetric ABI (optimization for shared everything) in detail tomorrow at 11am, in the talk named SDV.
@Christof Petig Awesome! looking forward to meeting you in person. No room obtained yet, but let's ask around, I think the conferene will be complete for the day - at least by the time the call starts and we may be able to grab a room.
We are camping out in the far side of the meeting space at Wasmcon.
Given the awesome in person conversations let's cancel this meeting and meet next time.
they WERE awesome.....
