Looks like the last update in here is from June of last year. Is there another project or is packaging deprioritized?

The custom warg protocol has been deprioritized due to lack of engineering time. Current packaging efforts are under https://github.com/bytecodealliance/wasm-pkg-tools which is primarily an OCI-artifact-based approach.
