I saw there was a 'release' of WAMR on 01-18-2022, but there were lots of commits since.
Is that the latest version considered stable? Or is one expected to use the latest master branch?

Nevertheless, we recommend you use the latest master branch, as there are more performance optimizations applied and more features added. We will create a new release soon after a thorough test.
