notably not too bad and should be workable in the ecosystem, and I'm pretty confident that "bindings generators just need something that's task-local" was the only genesis of this design decision which is satisfied by the new APIs in wasi-libc
Bailey Hayes (Oct 20 2026 at 14:53):Tried out some of the next steps for tokio spawn_local and made easy progress. Right now I'm debating if I should wait for these changes to percolate through before starting to put up PRs. Since the wit-bindgen change is backwards compatible, tempted to go for it
