pchickey opened PR #7933 from bytecodealliance:pch/promote_preview2 to bytecodealliance:main:

Following https://github.com/bytecodealliance/wasmtime/pull/7881, wasi-common's re-exports from wasmtime-wasi will be marked as deprecated for the 18.0 release series. This PR lands the change into main to delete those entirely, and promote wasmtime_wasi::preview2 up to wasmtime_wasi's root.

The preview2 feature has been removed, and preview1-on-preview2 has been renamed preview1.
