cfallin opened PR #14776 from cfallin:gdbstub-forward-interrupts to bytecodealliance:main:
The gdbstub component acknowledged a client's interrupt request (Ctrl-C) without asking the debuggee to stop, so interrupting a running program had no effect until its next debug event. Call
debuggee.interrupt()and report the resultinginterruptedevent as the stop. This PR also adds a protocol-level test, using a minimal GDB remote protocol client, that interrupts a long-running loop. (This little test stub is also useful for later PRs I plan to send.)

 alexcrichton submitted PR review:
I won't really pretend to understand the test, but seems reasonable otherwise.
One thing I'll point out though, which is preexisting, is that
free_portis inherently a racy function. Eventually we'll probably see flakes due to that. If you (or perhaps an LLM) have a chance, it'd be best to spawnwasmtimebound to port 0, have Wasmtime print out where it's listening, read that from the test, and then use that.
