pchickey opened PR #14449 from pchickey:winch-default-features-gc to bytecodealliance:main:

Winch support for exceptions (which requires gc types) is in progress, however, it is not yet considered complete enough to be Tier 1 supported, so it needs to be off by default.

Tests which exercise this functionality now opt in.

The docs now better reflects that Winch does not yet have complete Tier 1 support for exceptions and gc types.

I'm realizing now that the changes in this file I think are redundant with the changes in wasmtime_wast.rs, so these may no longer be necessary?
