The current state tripped me up a bit, since the docs make it sound like it's already there and working, while the API itself seems nowhere to be found.

Instead of a footnote that it doesn't do what it says it does, can you just delete "both link components together as well as"? If component linking ever gets implemented, the docs can be updated then
