We now have automation for creating WASI 0.3.0 release rc's :tada: There's more to automate and there will certainly be more release candidates, but here's to getting started on stabilizing WASI P3 API's!!!

The git tag in the wasi repos is v0.3.0-rc-2025-08-15 as well as OCI artifacts tagged with 0.3.0-rc-2025-08-15.

wkg oci pull ghcr.io/webassembly/wasi/http:0.3.0-rc-2025-08-15
wasm-tools component wit webassembly_wasi_http.wasm | less

Special thanks to @Lann Martin and @Calvin Prewitt for jumping on a wkg issue that let this rollout happen today :heart: Also @Yosh Wuyts for being an awesome pair while working on the automation!

Fails to parse 0.3 components. # build works wkg wit build -o "wasi-clocks-0.3.0.wasm" --wit-dir wit-0.3.0-draft # publish fails wkg oci push ghcr.io/webassembly/wasi/clocks-0.3.0:0.3.0-rc-2025-08-...

https://github.com/bytecodealliance/wasmtime/pull/11443 is the update in wasmtime to this tag, thanks again for it!

Now that there's an official tag it's best to use that, and this'll help keep everything in sync as well.

@Ralph FYI

$ wkg get wasi:http -o wasi-http.wasm
No version specified; fetching version list...
Getting wasi:http@0.3.0-rc-2025-08-15...
Wrote 'wasi-http.wasm'

(though it should probably fetch the latest stable version by default :thinking:)
