Hey all, we cancelled the WASI meeting yesterday. I still wanted to post a brief update on where Jco development was on Monday. Victor had 218 of 223 test cases passing. Of the remaining 5 cases he had a good sense of how to solve 3, and we spent some time going through the remaining 2 synchronously in the call.

Those 223 tests are the Wasmtime tests. Once those pass the next steps are to bring over the wasi-testsuite and component-model tests. (Note: I forget whether that should also include the Wasmtime WASI tests, but I believe so). But especially for the WASI tests it should be much easier to have multiple people working on that.

Long story short: good progress is being made, but we’re not quite there yet. Once we start burning down WASI tests, it’ll be easier to estimate how long the remaining work will take.

@Yosh Wuyts is there, or should there be, any relationship to the wasmtime testing work Igalia is doing for the Alliance, or is that work completely orthogonal?

@Ralph note that there is a PR with a port of some tests up:

https://github.com/WebAssembly/wasi-testsuite/pull/165

I haven't had a chance to take a look at those failures, but some work has already been done IIRC

This PR adds support for jco. However, nothing passes yet: jco run needs --env and --dir argument support jco doesn't yet support some of the component model (lowering async imports, i think)...
