taking concurrency to its limit, means interfacing into GPU capabilities. our stuff being a browser means we can do that outside of wasm via external shaders, but perhaps there's a wasm evolution exposing that in a more generic way. just an open thought at this point.
once you're into that stuff, you need sync primitives to know when concurrent work on other processor has completed. WaitForSingleObject, etc. on Windows & similar other platforms, abstracted away obv.
