I guess we're still on a free Zoom link @fitzgen (he/him) @Alex Crichton @Andrew Brown
happy to talk more about this if there's more to say but it seems we basically reached consensus
I think Alex actually ended the meeting for everyone, not a zoom tier issue
lol... I have to move on to an Intel meeting, but that was a good discussion
ok sorry
ok so apparently I can't have 2 concurrent meetings
clif/component overlap by 30m
ah! the perils of Zoom
which has never been a problem historically
I didn't realize it'd close one room to make the other
but yeah, I think we ended at consensus on a sequence-of-insts constructor thingy that doesn't try to differentiate between produces vs consumes flags
we'll need to change one to a different zoom account
no worries! I'll write up an issue with the flags options we talked about today
tyty :+1:
I did also want to talk about fixed registers in the assembler but we can do that next week
actually do we want to try to move the meeting to x:00 instead of x:30?
seems like a lot of folks have to drop at the top of the hour
that's probably too early for me (8:00am, with office commute and sometimes daycare dropoff that opens at 8am too)
yeah I'd prefer not doing that as well
makes sense yeah, do y'all at f5 have zoom accounts to make a new link?
it's been ~4 years since we polled on scheduling, we could reopen that if needed; for me personally, for EU-friendly slots (morning in Pacific time), things are pretty full except for Fridays and that's Friday evening EU
F5 doesn't believe in Zoom unfortunately
canceled the contract last year
nono scheduling is "can we easily move? no? ok no movement ever again"
We can do MS Teams if folks like pain and suffering; most don't, though
kk I'll canvas and see if I can move the component model meeting zoom link
lol
I feel much better now! We suffered a Slack outage at the same time as the abrupt Zoom end, and I thought maybe the whole company had folded up. :-)
