What's the current state of component sharing? Is warg still the plan?

my understanding is that https://github.com/bytecodealliance/wasm-pkg-tools has support for both OCI registries and warg, but warg has not been the priority for the last half year or maybe longer. i've only ever used it with github's OCI registry.
