Topic: More information on WASIP 3?

Hello! I am currently exploring rustc projects as a part of GSoC 2026, specifically around WebAssembly and Wasmtime. I noticed one of the project goals for 2026 was adding tier 2 support for wasm32-wasip3.
I am interested in rustc side work that would help the ecosystem once wasip3 is available.
Some things I had in mind:

1. Standard library gaps that would make porting of crates easier and more efficient
2. Codegen improvements (if there are any)

I'm also open to feedback, like are there any other pain points that the community would like addressed?
Any advice and opinions on this matter would be immensely appreciated. Thank you!
(and also, i apologise if this feels out of place, I thought this would be the best place to ask for suggestions regarding this subject)
