Topic: Looking for WASM job

Hey all

I was recently laid off from my company (along with most of the workforce), and I'm currently seeking employment in the WASM field.

I've read some books on compilers and Rust, and I've ported several gnu/linux libraries to WebAssembly already.

I'm looking to contribute to wasmtime and other bytecode alliance projects to shore up my resume, so if anyone has any advice on where to get started or is looking for a wasm developer, please let me know!

I've already messaged some of you privately, so now, I guess I'll just look for issues that I think I can help with.

Thanks for your help

What would be really cool is if someone is working on a Docker-type kernel built in WASM for a new microservice architecture built entirely in WASM. I've got some ideas on how this could be implemented, and I know Stackblitz is doing something like this, but they are not currently hiring.

Reminds me of Nebulet. Doesn't do Docker like functionality though, just running WASM in kernel space.

I've been working on opening more "good first issues" for Cranelift (and ideally Wasmtime) so you might take a look at those and see if any of them sound like something you want to work on: https://github.com/bytecodealliance/wasmtime/issues?q=is%3Aopen+is%3Aissue+label%3A%22good+first+issue%22
Also my team has a position open that it sounds like you might be interested in: https://www.fastly.com/about/jobs/apply/?gh_jid=4801593
