Hello! I am want to become a person able to do something about compilers and machine code, and Cranelift seemed interesting to me as an alternative to LLVM.

I have seen this page that says that people around Bytecode Alliance can mentor me.

https://docs.wasmtime.dev/contributing.html#mentoring

How is the mentoring works? It seems exciting to me. Thanks! :)

We don't have a formal mentorship program if that's what you're looking for, it's more that maintainers can often assist depending on time/availability. For this I'd recommend reaching out about a specific project and/or area in mind and asking if anyone would like to help. Folks may be a bit strapped for time as well though so we can't guarantee that we're able to mentor folks

That's okay and might be better. Thanks for your time :)
